Blacklane is the global app-dispatched chauffeur category leader and a serviceable default for NYC airport transfers when the conditions are right, but the model carries four structural drawbacks for the New York buyer: dynamic surcharges on event and weather windows, weekend and event-night premium bands, no true hourly retainer continuity with a single named chauffeur across the booking, and marketplace-driver dispatch that does not guarantee the same operator on the recurring pattern.
